THE SYSTEMS THAT
REPLACE TEAR-OFFS.
WHAT IS SPF
ROOFING?
SPF (Spray Polyurethane Foam) is a monolithic, seamless roofing system sprayed directly onto your existing roof at R-6.5 per inch. The foam expands on contact, filling every crack, seam, and joint to create a single self-flashing waterproof membrane with no weak points, engineered to handle ponding water.
A protective silicone topcoat is then applied over the foam, giving you a UV-resistant, energy-efficient surface that reflects heat and can be recoated every 15-20 years indefinitely, without ever tearing off the original roof.
Because there’s no demolition involved, most SPF projects are completed in 3-4 days with zero disruption to your tenants or daily operations.
At R-6.5 per inch, SPF delivers the highest R-value of any commercial roofing insulation. A minimum 1.5″–2.00″ application yields R-9.75 and greater, outperforming single-ply, BUR, and metal roof systems at equivalent or greater thickness. The result is measurably lower heating and cooling costs from day one.
WHAT IS SILICONE ROOF
RESTORATION?
Silicone roof restoration is a direct-applied coating system that waterproofs and UV-protects your existing roof membrane without foam insulation. It’s the right choice when your roof structure and insulation are sound but the surface membrane has degraded: cracking, ponding, or losing reflectivity.
Sherwin-Williams silicone coatings are rated for ponding water exposure, reflect solar radiation to reduce cooling loads, and maintain flexibility through extreme temperature cycling. Unlike acrylics, silicone won’t re-emulsify in standing water.
Application typically takes 2-5 days depending on roof size, with zero tear-off, no disruption to building operations, and no landfill waste. The coating can be recoated indefinitely, making it a permanent waterproofing solution.
Silicone restoration is often the most cost-effective path for roofs that don’t need additional insulation. When paired with a Sherwin-Williams warranty, it delivers long-term protection at a fraction of replacement cost.

SPF + SILICONE
SYSTEM
Full spray foam insulation with silicone topcoat. The complete engineered roofing system.
Base pricing does not include costs associated with wet insulation remediation or roof decking replacement. If a thermal drone inspection identifies saturated insulation or compromised decking, those areas will require remediation prior to SPF application. Scope and cost will be outlined in your proposal following inspection.
SPF RESTORATION VS.
FULL TEAR-OFF
FROM INSPECTION TO WARRANTY.
Thermal drone survey identifies moisture and damage. Existing membrane is cleaned, repaired, and prepped. No demolition needed.
Closed-cell spray polyurethane foam is applied at R-6.5 per inch. The foam expands on contact, filling every crack, seam, and penetration into a seamless monolithic membrane.
UV-resistant silicone elastomeric coating applied over foam. Provides weather protection, solar reflectance, and the surface that can be recoated every 15-20 years.
Sherwin-Williams sends an independent inspector to verify application quality before issuing the 15 or 20-year product warranty. Real third-party accountability.
BACKED BY A NAME YOU KNOW.
Every Pinnacle SPF installation is independently inspected by Sherwin-Williams before the warranty is issued. This isn’t a contractor warranty. It’s a manufacturer-backed product warranty with third-party verification built in.
Standard coverage for qualifying SPF installations. Renewable with recoat.
Premium coverage tier. Maximum protection with Sherwin-Williams’ full product backing.
Smooth BUR substrates qualify for a maximum 10-year warranty. Gravel BUR substrates may qualify for up to a 15-year warranty. Warranty eligibility is determined following thermal drone inspection and Sherwin-Williams substrate assessment.
